I am Coach Kennard. I teach AP U.S. History(APUSH) and have taught at Livingston Academy for 7 years. I have been the Assistant Boys Basketball Coach for the Wildcats for 12 years. My other roles at Livingston Academy include the leader of Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society, Student Government, and I am also the AP All-Access Liaison.

I graduated high school from Volunteer Christian Academy in 1999. I earned my Associates Degree from Volunteer State Community College in 2002. After my Associates Degree, I took a break from school as I was promoted to salary management at Food Lion. From 2003-06 I was the Assistant Store Manager, and then from 2006-13, I was the Store Manager at Food Lion. I wanted to teach and coach so in 2013 I left Food Lion and went back to school. I graduated in 2015 from Tennessee Technological University with my Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education- History. I am currently working on my Master's Degree in Higher Education at Pennsylvania State University.

God has blessed me with the best family! I am married to my best friend and favorite person in the world, Brooke Kennard. She is my partner in everything and empowers me to be the best at everything that I do. She has two children, Jackson and Jesalyn, that I am extremely lucky to have in my life now. She works at Cookeville Regional Medical Center and I am very proud of her. I have two sons, Benjamin and Cooper. Benjamin and I love sports and love going to sporting events together. Our favorite teams are the Pirates (Baseball), Colts (Football), Lakers (Basketball), Penguins (Hockey), and in college Duke Basketball and Penn State Football. Cooper and I love going and watching movies together. He is very knowledgeable about movies, the producers, the actors, and all about them. I love both of my boys and love spending time with them, doing what they love to do. Family time is the best time!!

I am very excited to have your student in class! I am ready for an amazing year filled with learning, great results, but most importantly getting to know your student. God Bless!
