Exciting news from the first Special Olympics event of the 2024-2025 school year held in White County! A huge thank you to White County High School for their warm welcome to Livingston Academy. Coach Miller, Coach Qualls, and our dedicated Life Skills teachers and assistants cheered on our teams as they showcased their abilities in flag football, cornhole, and more. We are especially proud of our eleven Wildcats who represented us with pride, alongside our amazing peer buddies who supported them every step of the way. A special shoutout goes to our SROs for the escort out of town. Looking ahead, we can’t wait for the bowling event in November! Go Wildcats!

Kim Goodpasture's chemistry classes have designed and constructed working rollercoasters for their Engineering Design unit. Students were given a budget and had to meet multiple constraints for their roller coasters to meet project guidelines. It is always a treat to see our students' imaginations at work!

If you download the app you can have quick access to information from both the district and your child's school. You can get push notifications for announcements and emergency alerts. We are always looking for ways to improve our communications with families, and our new app is a great way to stay connected. Download it today from your phone's app store!

Livingston Academy's Homecoming 2024 kicked off in grand fashion! Class tournaments are a major highlight of the school year, and today's basketball games did not disappoint. Seniors defeated the freshmen in the girls game while sophomore boys took down the juniors; the gymnasium was nothing short of electric. A pair of sack races also took place: one between students and one between teachers. Today's dress theme was orange, and Hogeye nation showed out. The bleacher photos represent just a fraction of the overall participation. Thank you to everyone involved in making today so memorable!

Students in Mr. Tibbs's US History class participated in a Memorial Walk today. In remembrance of those that passed away in the World Trade Center attacks, students walked two miles: the equivalent of the 110 flights of stairs firefighters aimed to climb that fateful day. JROTC cadets led the way by bearing the American flag.
